Conference to Celebrate Dr. Morgan and LSI
As many of you know, Dr. Robert M. Morgan, the founder of the Instructional Systems Program and the Learning Systems Institute, died earlier this year. On October 25 – 26, the Learning Systems Institute (LSI), the College of Education, and the Instructional Systems program will be conducting a conference celebrating the career accomplishments of Dr. Morgan and marking the 40th Anniversary of the founding of LSI. Dedication of the new Robert M. Morgan Instructional Systems Multimedia Studio will also take place during the conference. The conference will begin with an evening reception on Sunday, October 25th, and will be followed by a day-long series of activities on Monday, October 26th. These activities will include keynote speeches by key figures in the history of LSI and the Instructional Systems program, including Dr. Branson, Dr. Dick and Dr. Kaufman. In addition, there will be several rounds of concurrent sessions, during which major LSI and College of Education research projects will be discussed. There will be no fee for attending the conference, but in order to know how many individuals will participate, those who are planning to do so will be asked to register in advance. Registration materials have been mailed to all Instructional Systems alumni for whom we have correct addresses. If you have not received these materials, you can access them at: www.lsi.fsu.edu/anniversary/lsimorganevent.pdf We hope you will register and attend this very special event! |
