The Robert M. Morgan Instructional Systems Multimedia StudioDuring the 2008-09 academic year, as the Stone Building was being renovated, a large area on the third floor was converted into what is now called the Robert M. Morgan Instructional Systems Multimedia Studio. This studio, which is intended to be used only by Instructional Systems students, will be officially opened during the celebration event described above. The studio now contains new furniture (student work carrels, tables and chairs), plus a well-equipped instructor station and a projection screen. However, at the current time, the Instructional Systems program does not have the funds necessary to purchase computer hardware and software for the student workstations. That is where we hope you will come in! The furniture and equipment currently in the lab was funded by the generous donations of IS alumni and faculty. Over the past year, more than $34,000 has been raised. If you’ve donated already, we sincerely thank you. If you’ve not yet donated, please do so. This will enable the program to buy the hardware and software that is necessary in order to make the studio a fully functioning learning environment for Instructional Systems students. The various levels of giving and associated types of recognition that have been established are described in the table below. If you are interested in making a contribution, please contact Dr. Doretta Gordon at doretta.gordon@swri.org
